ANAHEIM - The City Council is poised to vote Tuesday on the largest development in the Platinum Triangle – an area around Angel Stadium that the city wants to turn into Orange County's downtown.

Lennar Corp. is proposing 2,681 dwelling units, including lofts, townhouses and up to 11 residential towers as tall as 33 stories, as well as commercial and retail areas on the ground floor. The 41-acre A-Town development will be divided into six districts, including parks, restaurants and shops.

"It's basically going to be a good prospect for us to show to the world that we have urban living," said Councilman Harry Sidhu.

The meeting is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at Anaheim City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.
