Anaheim City Councilman Harry Sidhu and his wife Gin opened their 4-acre estate in Anaheim Hills to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oct. 6.
The private party and fundraiser began with cocktails on the Sidhu's deck at sunset and included a brief address by Gov. Schwarzenegger and a catered dinner served alfresco, under palm trees strung with hundreds of white lights.
The event provided an opportunity for the governor to meet with influential members of the East Indian community and to share his thoughts on the future of California, while strengthening his campaign war chest.
"As you know I am an immigrant," the Governor said. "As I look out at all of your faces I see many other immigrants, too."
Looking tan and fit - despite his busy campaign schedule - the governor posed for pictures before addressing more than 100 supporters from a stage in the Sidhu's backyard.
Elected officials in attendance included: Congressman Ed Royce and his wife, Marie; Assemblyman Todd Spitzer; Assemblyman Bob Huff and his wife, Mei; Orange County Supervisor Chris Norby; Garden Grove Mayor Bill Dalton; Tustin Mayor Doug Davert and his wife, Melanie; and Orange Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn Cavecche and her husband, Richard.
