Tustin is proud of its small-town heritage as the "City of Trees." Today, as a legacy of new residential and commercial development is launched in the City of Tustin, I welcome the opportunity to be your next State Senator.
I will give you the dedication needed to be your voice and champion in Sacramento on the issues that matter to you.
In the State Senate, my priorities will be simple.
1. Tustin Taxpayer Protection
I will fight for sound conservative fiscal responsibility, accountability to the Tustin taxpayers, and demand the end of wasteful government spending. I will vote to reduce taxes so that more money goes into the pockets of the Tustin taxpayers and back into the Tustin economy.
2. Tustin Protecting Property Rights
People in Tustin work an entire lifetime to procure the American Dream of owning a home or business. I will continue to be a leading advocate for the protection of Tustin private property rights.
3. Tustin Education
Our children are the future of Tustin. I support the view that California needs an integrated, transparent education system that allows Tustin parents, the public, educators, and policymakers to access useful information about our Tustin schools. California spends billions of our precious tax dollars on education every year. It's time we started getting what we are paying for in Tustin. And, that means holding everyone accountable: administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
4. Tustin Demanding Ethics and Reform
I will demand on behalf of Tustin an end to the outrageous salaries and perks of free cars and tax-free salaries that state politicians give themselves. I support term limits and a part-time legislature. It is time to put normal, hardworking people back in charge of our government.
5. Tustin Delivering Transportation Solutions
Together we will work toward delivering transportation solutions for Tustin that will improve the quality of life throughout Orange County.
6. Tustin Fighting Illegal Immigration
On behalf of Tustin, I will work toward securing our border with Mexico and vote against driver's licenses and reduced college tuition for illegal immigrants. I will voice on behalf of Tustin my support of English as our one and only national language.
